In Arquipélago I took as a starting point the idea of "body-essay" that appears in the works of Preciado, continuing the research begun in my previous performances, in which I tried that body, performance and writing developed in their direct connections with philosophy. The progression of these connections in my work emerged both from the encounter with the feminist slogan "the personal is political" and the encounter with writers and thinkers who practice the exercise of philosophy in the first person. I began with a cross reading of different theoretical assumptions in order to rethink the different historical forms of oppression and domination of the body and their possible vanishing points.
