THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING ANTÓNIO DE MACEDO
‘The importance of being António de Macedo’ was due mainly to the impact that a slowly overlooked artist provoked in me, piercing the 50 years that separate us. Traversing four decades, António de Macedo, presented us with an experimental work of undoubted originality. Absorbing his preambles between 'speculative fiction' and the 'fantastic' genres (after my latest works concerning the disappearance and death of the Miguel Bonneville persona), I created the first performance of this series as a kind of resurrection, of resumption.
