When this kind of fire starts | drawing, collage, installation and photography

‘The works presented in 'When this kind of fire starts' are solitary visions about the fragility of a new beginning, works of an insular nature that unfold in the search for other ways out, other paths that can be followed. They are like pages torn from a diary that present themselves as a gesture of liberation that - however 'raw' it might be - reveals a personal message, a screening process, a desire to undermine and expose the weight of life and social order.
‘When this kind of fire starts’ marks the new beginning of an awareness that, more than ever, the personal is political, and that 'the path of simplicity is the most tortuous of all'.’
