camera obscura

experimental film

synopsis
through a unique approach to the works of french writer and director marguerite duras, bonneville crafted an immersive film at the intersection of writing, film, and sound. inspired by tenebrism, the film explores minimalist aesthetics, drawing a parallel with primordial filmmaking techniques, and delving into the poetic realms of madness, love, and death – all of which fracture our supposed coherent identities. camera obscura blurs the lines between seen and unseen, evoking ghostly, hypnotic, and sensual imagery.
