collective exhibition ‘afinities in contemporary ceramics’

the exhibition afinities in contemporary ceramics opens next saturday, july 26th, at 16h00, showcasing 39 original works inspired by still life (1645), a painting by pieter claesz from the collection of the soares dos reis national museum. a collaboration between the museum and the quarteirão criativo association, the afinities project is a five-year cycle of annual themes featuring exhibitions, workshops, and conversations. aach edition explores affinities — moments of resonance, empathy, and similarity — between the creative culture of porto’s bombarda quarter and the museum’s history and collection. the selected works will be on view at the soares dos reis national museum through november 29th.
