in ensaios de santidade, bonneville created an installation and a one-to-one performance at matadero’s rooftop house. at the heart of this work stood goretti—an enigmatic figure transcending mere familial ties. she embodied a second mother, a guardian angel, a fierce protector whose presence ruptured the stagnant, decaying core of a bourgeois household with a single stroke.

transforming matadero’s rooftop house into an intimate space, bonneville envisioned it as a refuge from the haunting specters of traditional family dwellings. here, visitors were invited into a realm both physical and metaphysical, where they could awaken their undomesticated love and embrace vulnerability. together, they embarked on a journey into the depths of an unnamed night, bound by a shared quest for liberation.
