the retrospective “did you miss me?”, dedicated to bonneville’s artistic production from 2004 to 2025, took place from october 11–26, 2025. it was organized in collaboration with rua das gaivotas 6/teatro praga and temps d’images festival. the program featured an exhibition of visual works, a video showcase, the launch of the importance of being – anthology (an editorial project by teatro praga in partnership with publisher sistema solar), three performance reenactments, a performance lecture, and a dj set by blacksugu.

from 2004 to 2023, bonneville developed an audiovisual practice that moved between video art, experimental cinema, performance, and music videos. this retrospective brought together, for the first time, works created across nearly two decades — including previously unseen pieces — revealing the persistence of an ironic, intimate, and political gaze. the program offered a poetic and unruly archaeology of the artist’s practice, inviting audiences to revisit different creative phases and observe the coherence of a language that consistently challenges genres, formats, and conventions.

this exhibition presented works originally shown in various solo and group exhibitions between 2009 and 2025. spanning drawing, photography, collage, and ceramics, the works came from both private collections and the artist’s personal archive.

the importance of being was a serial, multidisciplinary project developed between 2012 and 2022, shaped by bonneville’s long-term engagement with artists and thinkers who profoundly marked their personal and artistic trajectory. this anthology gathers the written materials that accompanied the project — beginning with the importance of being agustina bessa-luís — and includes both previously published texts and new, unpublished work.

cláudia jardim, diogo bento, and andré e. teodósio performed three reenactments of bonneville’s performances: teatro #2 (2005), mb#6 (2008), and mb#6 (2018).

developed around the central question of the series animals landscapes and saints — “what is, or could be, a saint today?” — this performance lecture stems from a need to navigate the inner visions of mystics, prophets, and visionaries who, throughout history, have challenged the limits of the real. the figure of the saint serves as a guide for thinking about forms of deviation, attention to the invisible, and resistance to the normalization of thought.

temps d’images festival closed its 2025 edition with a celebration at duplacena77, featuring a dj set by blacksugu, a duo formed in 2007 by bonneville (aka blackbambi) and susana guardado (aka sugu).
